Faith

No merit, only grace

Faith shapes how I work, rest and serve. Here I share short reflections and the verses behind them, and open the conversation: react, comment, take a side in the debates.

Reflections

  • Grace, not merit

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
    Ephesians 2:8-9 · BSB

Every milestone in my journey, I owe to grace before effort. Working hard is my part; the open doors are not. Remembering it keeps me grateful in success and steady in failure.

  • Rest is not a reward

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
    Mark 2:27 · BSB

We often rest only once everything is done. But everything is never done. Keeping one day apart is a gift, not a delay: it is also why my app Best Support respects a rest day.

  • Work as an offering

Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men.
    Colossians 3:23 · BSB

A container delivered on time, a well-written report, a student who finds his way: no task is too small when it is done with the whole heart.

  • Strength in weakness

My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.
    2 Corinthians 12:9 · BSB

It is all right not to be strong all the time. Some of my best decisions came in seasons when I had nothing left but trust.

  • Leading is serving

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
    Mark 10:45 · BSB

In LNA, in mentoring, in every team: a title is only worth the service it makes possible.

  • Always a learner

Let the wise listen and gain instruction, and the discerning acquire wise counsel.
    Proverbs 1:5 · BSB

Wisdom is not a diploma you receive once. It is a posture: listen, learn, adapt, again.

Open debates

Should Sunday stay a real day of rest, even for entrepreneurs?

Yes

Rest protects health, family and clarity. A business that cannot breathe one day a week is fragile.

Rather no

Some seasons demand everything, and many jobs (ports, health, transport) never stop. The day can move, as long as rest stays.

Where do you stand?

Does faith belong at work?

Yes

Faith shapes integrity, patience and how we treat others: it shows in the work, not in speeches.

Rather no

The workplace gathers people of every belief: convictions are better lived discreetly than displayed.

Where do you stand?

Can AI help spiritual life?

Yes

It can explain a passage, compare translations, organise a reading plan: a study tool like any other.

Rather no

Faith is a relationship, not information. Prayer and community cannot be delegated to a machine.

Where do you stand?

Ambition and humility: must we choose?

Yes

Yes: ambition easily turns into comparison and pride, and chasing success can quietly replace the calling.

Rather no

No: aiming high to serve more people is a form of stewardship, as long as the glory is not kept for oneself.
